TALLAHASSEE, Fla., Nov. 27 (UPI) -- Florida State's Christian Ponder hurled three touchdown passes Saturday and the No. 21 Seminoles handled Florida 31-7.

Ponder gained 221 yards and Rodney Smith hauled down four passes for 79 yards and a touchdown for Florida State (9-3), which, combined with North Carolina State's loss to Maryland Saturday, clinched a spot in the ACC championship game against Virginia Tech.

Taiwan Easterling made three receptions for the victors.

John Brantley was limited to 52 yards on 6-of-12 passing with a touchdown for Florida (7-5).

Jordan Reed replaced him behind center and rushed for 74 yards as the Gators saw a six-game winning streak against FSU snapped.
