CHARLESTON, S.C., Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Jason Clark scored 22 points and Austin Freeman 20 Thursday in pacing No. 21 Georgetown to an 80-61 win over Coastal Carolina at the Charleston (S.C.) Classic.
The Hoyas (3-0) never trailed and secured the win with a series of second-half spurts.
Already ahead 33-26 at the half, Georgetown had a 10-2 run, ignited by Freeman, to open the second half and pushed the lead to 53-33 after another 10-2 run in which Clark hit two 3-point shots.
Coastal Carolina (2-2) got within nine points but Freeman and Austin hit back-to-back 3-pointers to make the score 59-44 with 9:40 to go.
Chris Wright added 12 points and 12 assists for Georgetown. Clark, Freeman and Wright combined for 13-of-22 shooting from 3-point range.
Coastal Carolina was paced by Kiere Greenwood's 16-points effort while Desmond Holloway finished with 13 for the Chanticleers.
