COL BKB: Memphis 94, Northwestern St. 79

MEMPHIS, Nov. 17 (UPI) -- Wesley Witherspoon and Will Barton keyed a late run Wednesday that allowed No. 19 Memphis to fight off Northwestern State 94-79.

The Demons stunned Memphis by taking a two-point lead with 13 minutes to play, but Memphis finished the game with a 33-16 outburst.

Witherspoon scored 24 points and had 12 rebounds in leading Memphis to its third win in as many games. Barton came off the bench to produce 22 points and the Tigers went 29-of-35 from the foul line.

Northwestern State (1-2) was led by Will Pratt with 23 points.
