NHL: Dallas 2, Anaheim 1

DALLAS, Nov. 16 (UPI) -- Brad Richards scored a tie-breaking goal at 8:24 of the third period Tuesday that gave the Dallas Stars a 2-1 win that cooled off the surging Anaheim Ducks.

Kari Lehtonen turned in 26 saves for the Stars, who ended a three-game winless streak, and Steve Ott accounted for the first Dallas goal early in the first period.

Corey Perry's second-period goal for the Ducks tied the game 1-1. Jonas Hiller faced 26 shots and allowed both goals.

The Ducks lost for the first time this month and are 6-1-1 in their last eight games.

The game included four fighting major penalties. Ott and Perry both scored on power plays.
