SINGAPORE, Nov. 15 (UPI) -- Australian Adam Scott became a three-time winner of the Singapore Open Monday, shooting a 3-under-par 68 to fend off Anders Hansen.
Hansen matched Scott's 68 at the Serapong Course at Sentosa Golf Club, but that left him three strokes back of the Australian's 17-under 267 total.
The final round dragged into Monday after bad weather forced a 5 1/2-hour delay Sunday.
It was Scott's third Singapore title in six years and his seventh win on the European Tour, though his first since 2008. He also owns a win in the Texas Open on the PGA Tour.
U.S. Open champion Graeme McDowell shot a 70 to salvage a share of third place with Rikard Karlberg, who eagled the 18th for a 4-under 67. They finished at 13-under 271 for the tournament.
Kyung-nam Kang birdied the final hole for a 1-over 72 and fifth place at minus-12.
Last year's winner, Ian Poulter, started the day just three strokes out of first but a double-bogey on No. 15 dashed his hopes of repeating as he ended the day at 2-over 73 and tied for sixth with Jamie Donaldson, who had a 1-under 70 to finish at 11-under 273.
"It feels great," said Scott, who overcame two bogeys during his round. "Relief to finally get finished; it's been a bit of a long week. I'm very happy to be winning here again. I haven't been putting my best lately and the demons started creeping in on the back nine, but it's a course I absolutely love and I've played so many great shots here."
