SINGAPORE, Nov. 12 (UPI) -- Adam Scott, who was 7-under-par in one six-hole stretch Friday, took the clubhouse lead after two days of play at the European Tour's Barclay's Singapore Open.

Scott, playing the Tanjong Course at the Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore, finished with his second 6-under 65 and is at 12-under 130 halfway through the tournament.

He is two strokes ahead of Ian Poulter, who had an 8-under 63 in his second round. Four golfers are tied for third at 9-under. Joost Luiten is in that group but he is one of the players unable to finish his second round Friday.

Harsh weather delayed play Thursday and caused a backup Friday so several players were unable to complete their rounds because of darkness.

The tournament's first two rounds are played on two courses, with Tanjong giving up much better scores than the Serapong Course. Among the leading 10 golfers, only Rikard Karlberg played Serapong Friday when ideal conditions allowed the players a more aggressive style.

Scott, who won the event in 2005 and 2006, was among those who were unable to finish Thursday and had to play 30 holes Friday. His second round featured five birdies and an eagle over holes 3-8. He had bogeys at 11 and 13 but tapped in a 6-inch birdie putt at 15 for 6-under on the day.
