NHL: Washington 3, Ottawa 2 (OT)

WASHINGTON, Oct. 11 (UPI) -- Alexander Ovechkin's goal 4:20 into overtime Monday handed the Washington Capitals a 3-2 triumph over Ottawa.

Ovechkin's game-winner came after he skated down the right side of the ice and faked his way past a defender. He got off a shot that bounced along the ice and found its way through the legs of Senators goalie Pascal Leclaire.
