CHAMPAIGN, Ill., Oct. 2 (UPI) -- Terrelle Pryor threw two touchdown passes and ran for 104 yards Saturday to lead No. 2 Ohio State past Illinois 24-13.

Pryor, who left the game for a series due to a quadriceps injury, was 9-of-16 for 76 yards in the air but added 11 carries that included runs of 35 and 66 yards.

Dan Herron ran for 95 yards and scored a late touchdown that sealed the win for the second-ranked Buckeyes (5-0, 1-0 Big Ten) in the conference opener.

Ohio State has not lost a road game to Illinois since 1991.

Illinois' Nathan Scheelhaase was 12-of-22 for 109 yards and a touchdown. Derek Dimke kicked two field goals for the Ilini (2-2, 0-1).

Ohio State led 14-10 after three quarters and added a field goal and Herron's 6-yard touchdown run with 1:46 to play in the fourth quarter.
