He's at 14-under 128 after 36 holes. Edoardo Molinari and Matteo Manassero are tied for second at 11-under. Mikko Ilonen is fourth another stroke back and Graeme Storm is fifth at 9-under 133.

Manassero, the first-round leader, battled through three bogeys and shot 67. Molinari was bogey-free for the second consecutive round and fired a 6-under 65.

Jimenez opened and closed his round with three consecutive pars but tore up the Crans-sur-Sierre course in between. He had birdies at Nos. 4, 6 and 7 before closing his front nine with an eagle at the par-5, 629-yard ninth hole. He added a birdie at No. 10 and went birdie-eagle-birdie on 13-15.

He used a 3-wood to reach the ninth green in two shots, setting up the first eagle, and had a 5-wood shot finish 3 feet from the pin on the 14th hole for the other.
