MLB: Colorado 1, Arizona 0

PHOENIX, Aug. 22 (UPI) -- Jhoulys Chacin hurled seven-plus shutout innings and Dexter Fowler drove in the game's only run Sunday in the Colorado Rockies' 1-0 win over Arizona.

Chacin (6-9) baffled the Diamondbacks on three hits in 7 2/3 frames, striking out nine and walking only one to record his first win since July 2.

Joe Beimel got one out in the eighth inning and Huston Street followed with a 1-2-3 ninth to complete the whitewash and enable the Rockies to salvage one win in a three-game set with the Diamondbacks.

Fowler drove in Eric Young with a one-out, eighth-inning single off Aaron Heilman (4-5) to provide the game's only offense.

Arizona starter Daniel Hudson turned in a fine performance, tossing seven scoreless innings in which he allowed four hits and struck out nine.
