PHOENIX, Aug. 18 (UPI) -- Scott Rolen had three hits and three RBI Tuesday to lead the Cincinnati Reds past Arizona 6-2.
The win padded the Reds' lead over second-place St. Louis in the National League Central to two games and extended their winning streak to four games.
Paul Janish had a solo home run for the Reds in support of Bronson Arroyo (13-7), who pitched into the eighth to pick up the win. Arroyo allowed two runs on six hits in 7 1/3 innings and struck out five.
Kelly Johnson had a two-run homer for Arizona in the first inning. Dan Hudson (3-1) went seven innings, giving up three runs on nine hits.
The 2-0 lead held up until the sixth inning when the Reds tied the score on Rolen's RBI single and a run-scoring double play ball by Jay Bruce.
The Reds took the lead for good n the seventh on Janish's fourth homer of the season.
