CHICAGO, Aug. 4 (UPI) -- Geovany Soto homered, went 3-for-5 and drove in five runs Wednesday, pacing the Chicago Cubs to a 15-3 rout of Milwaukee.
Blake DeWitt added a homer, had two hits and drove in four runs and Aramis Ramirez blasted a pinch-hit, three-run round-tripper for Chicago, which used a 16-hit attack to avoid a three-game sweep at the hands of the Brewers.

Tyler Colvin chipped in with a solo shot and Starlin Castro went 4-for-5 in the lopsided victory.
Ryan Dempster (9-8) went six innings to collect the victory, allowing three runs on three hits, walking none and striking out three.
Brewers starter Manny Parra (3-9) was rocked for six runs on six hits in 5 2/3 innings.
