Donald moves up in golf's Top 10

VIRGINIA WATER, England, July 26 (UPI) -- Sweden made a splash in professional golf during the weekend while England's Luke Donald made the only positive move in the men's world Top 10 rankings.

Donald finished third in the PGA's RBC Canadian Open and improved from ninth to seventh. That jump and the subsequent moves down one spot each by Rory McIlroy and Paul Casey were the only changes in the Top 10.

Swedes won the two biggest men's golf tournaments Sunday. Carl Pettersson finished one stroke ahead of Dean Wilson and two ahead of Donald in winning the Canadian Open. It was his fourth PGA Tour win but first in nearly two years. Richard Johnson won the European Tour's Scandinavian Masters with a long putt on the final hole. He is the second Swede in 12 years to win the event.

The victories allowed Pettersson to move up 98 spots to 109th in the world while Johnson went from 334th to 189th.

Tiger Woods is on top of the rankings for the 268th consecutive week with Phil Mickelson second and Lee Westwood ranked third. Steve Stricker is fourth followed by No. 5 Jim Furyk and No. 6 Ernie Els.

After Donald, McIlroy and Casey, Ian Poulter rounds out the Top 10.
