ST. LOUIS, June 5 (UPI) -- Colby Rasmus singled home Aaron Miles in the 11th inning Saturday, lifting the St. Louis Cardinals to a 5-4 win over Milwaukee.
Miles collected a one-out single off John Axford (1-1) and got into scoring position when the next batter, Yadier Molina, also got on board with a hit. Rasmus then delivered the game-winning blow to give St. Louis its seventh win in nine games.
Rasmus ended 3-for-4 with three RBI and Albert Pujols socked a two-run homer for the Cards.
Mitchell Boggs (1-2) earned the victory, pitching a scoreless top of the 11th. Five Cardinals relievers combined for five shutout innings after the Brewers tied the contest with a three-run sixth inning.
Rickie Weeks homered for Milwaukee, which lost for the sixth time in seven games.
