DETROIT, June 3 (UPI) -- Magglio Ordonez slammed a three-run home run and ended up with five RBI Thursday, helping the Detroit Tigers pummel the Cleveland Indians 12-6.
Ordonez also hit a double and triple in Detroit's third win in five games.
Miguel Cabrera contributed a solo homer and two RBI, and rookie Austin Jackson hit three doubles and scored twice for the Tigers, who broke the game open with a five-run seventh inning.
Reliever Brad Thomas (2-0) pitched two-thirds of an inning and got the win.
Shin-Soo Choo hit two doubles and drove in two runs in the Indians' sixth loss in eight games. Hector Ambriz (0-1) took the loss, giving up a run and two hits in one inning of work.
Umpire Jim Joyce -- a day after costing Detroit pitcher Armando Galarraga a perfect game by making a bad call on a play at first base -- was behind the plate.
Galarraga presented the Tigers' lineup card to Joyce, who had publicly apologized for his umpiring error.
