Coca Cola 600

CONCORD, N.C., May 30 (UPI) -- Kurt Busch held off a late push by Jamie McMurray Sunday to capture the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Busch, who led 252 of the race's 400 laps, finished 0.737 seconds ahead of McMurray for his second win of the season and his 22nd Sprint Cup Series win overall.

McMurray's late charge, if successful, would have given team owner Chip Ganassi a second big win on the day. Ganassi's IndyCar driver, Dario Franchitti, won the Indianapolis 500 Sunday.

Kyle Busch finished third at Charlotte, followed by Mark Martin and David Reutimann.

Kyle Busch and Jeff Burton exchanged words on pit road after the race, in which Burton's car sustained a tire puncture after the two drivers made contact in the late going.
