SAN DIEGO, May 1 (UPI) -- Scott Hairston hit a two-run homer and Clayton Richard teamed with three relievers on a shutout Friday, bringing San Diego a 3-0 victory over Milwaukee.
The Padres won for the 12th time in 14 games and blanked the Brewers for the second straight night.

Richard (1-2) worked six innings, giving up four hits and striking out eight. Luke Gregorson, Mike Adams and Heath Bell pitched one inning each, with Bell recording his seventh save.
San Diego picked up a run in the third, loading the bases with one out and getting a sacrifice fly from Chase Headley. Hairston's homer came in the seventh.
Dave Bush (1-3) allowed all three runs on six hits in seven innings to take the loss.
The Padres downed Milwaukee on Thursday 9-0.
