FES, Morocco, April 27 (UPI) -- No. 3-seeded Anabel Medina Garrigues posted a "double bagel" victory Tuesday in the first round of the $220,000 Moroccan Grand Prix tennis tournament.

Medina Garrigues needed just 44 minutes to finish off the 6-0, 6-0 victory over Lina Bennani. Medina Garrigues lost only three points during her six service games and won more than two-thirds of the points off Bennani's serve.

Second-seeded Patty Schnyder was pushed to three sets, eventually defeating Greta Arn 4-6, 7-5 6-1, but it was otherwise not a good day to be an even number seed.
