MLB: Atlanta 6, San Diego 1

SAN DIEEGO, Calif., April 15 (UPI) -- Troy Glaus had two hits Wednesday, including a three-run home run, to lead the Atlanta Braves to a 6-1 win over San Diego.

Brian McCann had two doubles and two RBI and rookie Jason Heyward drove in a run for Atlanta, which put together back-to-back three-run innings in the sixth and seventh.

Starter Tommy Hanson (1-1) allowed one run on four hits and four walks, and struck out seven for the Braves.

Adrian Gonzalez had two hits and one RBI for the Padres, who managed just six hits in the game.

Clayton Richard (0-2) took the loss, allowed three runs on six hits with five strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.
