MARBELLA, Spain, April 10 (UPI) -- Flavia Pennetta will take on Carla Suarez Navarro for the title of the Andalucia Tennis Experience after both won their semifinal matches Saturday.
Pennetta, the second-seeded Italian, easily dispatched countrywoman Sara Errani, 6-1, 6-1 in one semifinal while No. 8 seed Suarez Navarro had to stage a rally to defeat fellow Spaniard Maria Jose Martinez Sanchez 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 in the day's other match.
Suarez Navarro's struggle mirrored the comeback she staged Friday in her quarterfinal victory over Tatjana Malek. Her Saturday match took more than two hours and sent the 38th-ranked Spaniard to the Andalucia finals for the second straight year.
She was defeated in last year's championship -- her first WTA Tour title tilt -- by Jelena Jankovic.
Pennetta, meanwhile, will play in her second final of 2010 and will be seeking her ninth career WTA singles title.
