NBA: San Antonio 99, Oklahoma City 96

OKLAHOMA CITY, March 22 (UPI) -- George Hill scored 27 points Monday and the San Antonio Spurs overcame Kevin Durant's 45-point effort, downing Oklahoma City 99-96.

Manu Ginobili put in 21 points, Tim Duncan added 14 and seven rebounds and Roger Mason chipped in with 13 points for the Spurs, who won for the sixth time in eight games and moved into a tie with the Thunder for sixth place in the Western Conference.

Durant was deadly from the field, knocking down 15-of-24 attempts, and made 14-of-15 from the foul line. His 45-point performance tied a season high and was two short of a career-best.

The Thunder star grabbed eight boards, but it wasn't enough to keep Oklahoma City from losing for the third time in four games.
