NHL: Detroit 4, Vancouver 3 (OT)

VANCOUVER, British Columbia, March 21 (UPI) -- Henrik Zetterberg's goal with two-tenths of a second left in overtime lifted the Detroit Red Wings to a 4-3 win over Vancouver Saturday.

Zetterberg's backhander found its way past the Canucks' Roberto Luongo with the clock about to expire in the extra frame. His game-winning shot went off the inside of the right post and into the net, giving Detroit its second last-minute win in two games.

The Red Wings finished a three-game road trip with a 2-0-1 record and with the win pulled two points ahead of idle Calgary for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

Todd Bertuzzi and Pavel Datsyuk also scored while Jimmy Howard registered 29 saves in the win.

Kyle Wellwood and Shane O'Brien each had a goal and an assist for Vancouver. The Canucks went 3-1-1 on a five-game homestand and held a six-point lead over idle Colorado for first in the Northwest Division.
