NHL: Boston 3, Toronto 2 (SO)

BOSTON, March 4 (UPI) -- Miroslav Satan produced the only goal in the shootout Thursday, giving Boston its first 2010 win in its home arena with a 3-2 decision over Toronto.

Prior to Thursday, the Bruins' lone victory in Boston this year had come on New Year's Day in the Winter Classic, played at Fenway Park. The win over the Maple Leafs was Boston's first in its own building since Dec. 30. Since then, the Bruins had gone 0-7-3 before edging Toronto.

Tim Thomas got the win by making 24 saves in regulation and overtime. Jean-Sebastien Giguere stopped 29 shots for Toronto.
