DENVER, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- Kyle Cumiskey completed a Colorado comeback by scoring just 9 seconds into overtime Wednesday for a 4-3 Avalanche victory over Atlanta.
Colorado trailed by two with the game nearing the midway point of the third period, but Chris Stewart and Chris Durno produced goals 6 minutes apart to force overtime.

Cumiskey then wasted no time putting a wrist shot past Johan Hedberg.
Atlanta had been trying for its fourth straight win on Colorado's home ice, but the Thrashers have lost 12-of-14 on the road overall.
Colorado won its third straight with Craig Anderson stopping 33-of-36 shots.
The Avalanche moved two points in front of Vancouver for the lead in the Northwest Division.
