LOS ANGELES, Feb. 6 (UPI) -- The Los Angeles Kings scored four unanswered goals Saturday to rally to a 4-3 win over the visiting Detroit Red Wings.
Michal Handzus scored with 2:21 to play in regulation to give the Kings the lead and complete a comeback from a 3-0 deficit.
Handzus scored twice, while Alexander Frolov and Ryan Smith contributed single goals for the Kings, who set a team record with their ninth consecutive win.
Henrik Zetterberg scored a pair for Detroit, which has lost three of its last four. Valtteri Filppula also had a goal.
The Red Wings scored three times in the first period, including goals 16 seconds apart by Zetterberg and Filppula.
The Kings stormed back with three goals in the second period and then won it when Handzus swept the puck past Wings goalie Jimmy Howard from the low right side.
Howard wrapped up the night with 23 saves. Jonathan Quick tallied 20 saves for Los Angeles.
