NBA: New Orleans 101, Indiana 86

INDIANAPOLIS, Jan. 16 (UPI) -- Chris Paul turned in a double-double with 22 points and 11 assists in New Orleans' 101-96 win over the Indiana Pacers Saturday.

Emeka Okafar had a double-double of his own with 14 points and a dozen rebounds, and David West led the way with 24 points.

Roy Hibbert led the Pacers with 27 points and 10 rebounds. Dahntay Jones came off the bench to tally 16 points.

Both teams shot around 43 percent from the field and Indiana was 6-of-29 from 3-point range.

The Pacers' shooting woes were particularly glaring in the closing minutes as they missed multiple tries.

New Orleans led 52-48 at halftime and put together an 11-0 run in the third quarter that forged a 65-53 lead with less than 6 minutes to play.

The Pacers pulled to within three early in the fourth quarter and trailed by four with 2:57 to play. Danny Granger hit a 3-point bucket and Paul added a 20-foot jumper and two free throws to secure the victory.
