AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Jan. 16 (UPI) -- The Detroit Pistons survived a fourth-quarter Knicks rally Saturday and held on to edge New York 94-90.
Rodney Stuckey led the way for Detroit with 20 points and Charlie Villanueva contributed a double-double of 19 points and 10 rebounds.
The Pistons won for their third consecutive time despite shooting 3-of-18 from the field and being outscored 30-17 in the final period.
Danilo Gallinari led the Knicks with 27 points. David Lee nearly had a triple-double, finishing with 26 points, seven rebounds and nine assists.
Nate Robinson scored all of his 11 points in the fourth quarter when the Knicks pulled to within 90-87 with 48.8 seconds to play but the Pistons prevailed at the free throw line.
New York had also hit a cold spell in the second quarter, shooting 4-of-21 from the field and trailing 51-37 at the half.
