DENVER, Jan. 4 (UPI) -- Allen Iverson scored 17 points, tops for the Philadelphia 76ers Sunday, in a 108-105 win over the Denver Nuggets, his former team.
Iverson, a longtime Philadelphia player who went on to Denver, Detroit and Memphis before returning to the Sixers, also contributed seven assists.

Willie Green and Andre Iguodala sank foul shots in the closing seconds to help hold off the Nuggets.
Elton Brand had 16 points and Thaddeus Young and Lou Williams each scored 12 for Philadelphia.
The Nuggets, who have lost six of eight games, were led by Nene with 24 points and Ty Lawson with 23.
