NHL: Toronto 4, Pittsburgh 3

PITTSBURGH, Dec. 27 (UPI) -- Ian White put Toronto ahead with 1:22 to play Sunday and the Maple Leafs held on for a 4-3 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins.

White ripped a shot from above the right circle that got past Pittsburgh goalie Marc-Andre Fleury.

Luke Schenn, Lee Stempniak and Jason Blake notched the other goals for Toronto, which had dropped its previous three games.

Vesa Toskala made 21 saves for the Leafs.

Matt Cooke, Sidney Crosby and Michael Rupp registered the Penguins' goals. Rupp scored to tie the score just over a minute before White fired in his game winner.

Fleury blocked 23 shots.
