NBA: LA Lakers 112, Sacramento 103 (2OT)

SACRAMENTO, Dec. 27 (UPI) -- Kobe Bryant scored 38 points Saturday to lead the Los Angeles Lakers to a 112-103 double-overtime win over the Sacramento Kings.

Bryant hit two key 3-pointers in the second overtime period as the Lakers shook off their Christmas Day loss to Cleveland.

Pau Gasol scored 24 points and had 11 rebounds for the Lakers. Shannon Brown added 15 points and Lamar Odom 13.

Beno Udrih led the Kings with 23 points. Tyreke Evans added 18 and Donte Greene had 16.

Gasol missed a pair of free throws with 23.3 seconds to play in regulation and the game tied 94-94. The Kings failed to score, sending the game into overtime.

The Lakers rallied for seven points at the end of the first overtime to knot the score again. In the second overtime, Bryant hit two 3-pointers to make it 109-103, and the Lakers made three of four free throws in the stretch to lock up the victory.

Los Angeles played without Ron Artest, who suffered a concussion Friday when he fell down the stairs at his home. He is on day-to-day status.
