COL BKB: Kentucky 73, Cleveland State 49

CANCUN, Mexico, Nov. 24 (UPI) -- John Wall scored 15 points and DeMarcus Cousins added 14 Tuesday to power No. 5 Kentucky to a 73-49 win over Cleveland State in Cancun, Mexico.

Wall got nine of his points by making key free throws and Cousins grabbed seven rebounds as Kentucky went on a 10-0 run early in the second half to put away the game, part of the Cancun Challenge. The Wildcats' next opponent in a game to be played Wednesday will be either Virginia or Stanford.

Patrick Patterson and Darius Miller each scored nine points for the Wildcats (5-0), who got seven points from the foul line in their second-half surge. The run was capped by a Miller 3-pointer and a layup by Wall that pushed Kentucky's lead to 53-31 lead with roughly 13 minutes to play.

The Vikings (3-2) were led by D'Aundray Brown with 10 points. Jeremy Montgomery and Jared Cunningham each hit for 10 points.

Cleveland State shot a frosty 26.6 percent overall from the field.
