NEW YORK, Nov. 16 (UPI) -- Detroit's Henrik Zetterberg, who piled up nine points last week, was selected the No. 1 star of the NHL's weekly honors list.

The NHL each Monday picks three top players from the previous week's contests. Zetterberg earned the top honor for games played Nov. 9-15 and Atlanta's Ilya Kovalchuk and Buffalo's Ryan Miller were also honored.

Zetterberg capped his week with a hat trick and two assists -- the highest point game of his seven-year career -- Saturday against Anaheim. He had four assists earlier in the week as the Red Wings won three times on the week.

Kovalchuk paced Atlanta to three wins over four days by scoring three goals and getting five assists despite playing on a broken right foot.

Miller, a goaltender, won all three of his starts last week, allowing a total of four goals. He leads the NHL with 12 wins this season.
