The win gave Sounders coach Sigi Schmid the MLS record for career wins with 125. He broke the record that had been held by U.S. national team skipper Bob Bradley.

Seattle scored a pair of goals in the second half after Dallas took a 1-0 lead in the fourth minute on Atiba Harris' goal.

Nate Jaqua tied it in the 61st minute. Ljungberg sent a crossing pass to a sliding Fredy Montero, who knocked the ball back across the goalmouth to Jaqua for an east tap-in.

Ljungberg set up Brad Evans on the game-winner in the 84th minute with a crossing pass.
