David Murphy and Andruw Jones had two hits and one RBI apiece, while Marlon Byrd added one RBI for the Rangers, who avoided a three-game sweep.

Winner Tommy Hunter (4-2) yielded three runs and three hits in seven innings.

Closer C.J. Wilson earned his 14th save.

Oakland's Nomar Garciaparra, Rajai Davis and Scott Hairston each had one hit and one RBI.
