MLB: Chicago White Sox 5, Milwaukee 4

MILWAUKEE, June 14 (UPI) -- Gordon Beckham hit a key two-run double Sunday to help the Chicago White Sox capture a 5-4 inter-league win over Milwaukee.

Beckham's only hit in the game helped Chicago erase a 2-1 deficit with one out in the top of the fourth inning.

A.J. Pierzynski had three hits, including the game-winning RBI single in the ninth. Scott Podsednik had two hits and one RBI, starting pitcher Mark Buehrle hit a solo homer in the third, and Chris Getz added a run and two hits for the White Sox, who won twice in the three-game series.

The winner was reliever Matt Thornton (4-1).

Closer Bob Jenks earned his 14th save with a scoreless ninth.

Milwaukee's Corey Hart hit two solo homers. One of three hits by Casey McGehee was a third-inning solo homer and Prince Fielder had one RBI for the Brewers, who lost five of six on their latest home-stand.

The losing pitcher was closer Trevor Hoffman (0-1).
