MLB: Chicago White Sox 5, Kansas City 3

KANSAS CITY, Mo., May 30 (UPI) -- Scott Podsednik and Alexei Ramirez had RBI singles in the ninth inning Saturday to give the Chicago White Sox a 5-3 win over Kansas City.

Podsednik finished with two hits and Ramirez had three for Chicago, which has won four consecutive series.

Mark Buehrle allowed three runs in a 7 1/3-inning start for Chicago, giving up seven hits.

Scott Linebrink (2-2) got the win after recording the final two outs of the eighth and Bobby Jenks recor5ded his 11th with a scoreless ninth.

Mitch Maier tripled and drove in two runs and Miguel Olivo hit a game-tying homer in the eighth inning, but the Royals suffered their eighth loss in their last 10 games.

Royals starter Gil Meche gave up two runs on five hits over seven innings. Juan Cruz (3-1) suffered the loss after giving up both runs in the ninth inning.
