MLB: Minnesota 11, Seattle 0

MINNEAPOLIS, May 8 (UPI) -- Brian Buscher and Brendan Harris both hit three-run homers Friday and the Minnesota Twins coasted to an 11-0 blasting of Seattle.

Scott Baker took advantage of the Twins' 13-hit attack to win for the first time this season. Baker (1-4) had a 9.15 ERA coming into the contest, but allowed just five hits with five strikeouts and no walks over seven innings.

The Mariners could not manage a hit against relievers Jesse Crain and Joe Nathan.

Joe Mauer and Justin Morneau added solo homers for the Twins, who halted a three-game losing streak.

Harris hit his home run in the second to give Minnesota a 5-0 lead and Buscher came through with his in the fifth to make it 10-0.

Chris Jakubauskas (1-4) was slammed for nine runs on eight hits in 4 1/3. The Mariners lost their fifth straight and have fallen nine times in 12 games.
