MLB: Atlanta 4, Florida 2

MIAMI, May 7 (UPI) -- Jair Jurrjens yielded two earned runs and just three hits in seven innings Thursday to lead the Atlanta Braves to a 4-2 win over the Florida Marlins.

The win completed a sweep of the two-game series.

In his strongest start this season, Jurrjens (3-2) gave up two solo homers by Hanley Ramirez in the first and sixth innings.

He walked two batters and fanned four throwing 102 pitches.

Atlanta's Casey Kotchman had three hits -- one a third-inning solo homer -- and two RBI.

David Ross had two hits, one a two-run second-inning blast, while Kelly Johnson and Jordan Schafer added two hits apiece for the Braves, who entered the short series with a four-game losing streak.

Two others had one hit each for the Marlins, who have lost three in a row and six of seven.

Losing pitcher Anibal Sanchez (1-4) surrendered four earned runs and seven hits in 4 2/3 innings before leaving with right shoulder pain.
