NBA: Boston 102, Memphis 90

BOSTON, March 13 (UPI) -- Leon Powe enjoyed a career-best effort Friday night in carrying the Boston Celtics to a 102-92 victory over Memphis.

Powe scored 30 points, the highest total of his three NBA seasons, and grabbed 11 rebounds. He also blocked five shots, helping Boston halt its first two-game losing streak in more than two months.

Ray Allen pitched in 22 points and Paul Pierce had 17. The Celtics bounced back from their most one-sided loss of the season, a 23-point setback against Miami Wednesday.

Boston's Rajon Rondo, who had missed two games with a sprained ankle, played 29 minutes and scored four points.

Memphis, which has won a league-low four road games this season, got 26 points from Rudy Gay and 21 from O.J. Mayo.
