NHL: Detroit 5, Nashville 3

NASHVILLE, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- The Detroit Red Wings, energized by two goals apiece from Henrik Zetterberg and Pavel Datsyuk, skated to a 5-3 win over the Nashville Predators Tuesday.

Ty Conklin turned back 18 Nashville shots to notch the win. Marian Hossa got the other goal for the Red Wings, who have won five straight after a five-game winless streak.

The Predators got two goals from Joel Ward and one from Radek Bonk. Pekka Rinne was bombarded with 50 shots by the Red Wings, giving up four goals.

Detroit controlled this game from the onset, scoring in the first period and taking a 3-0 lead deep in the second period before holding off the Predators' comeback attempt.

Nashville lost for the second straight game after a four-game win streak.
