NBA: Portland 84, Detroit 83

PORTLAND, Ore., Jan. 8 (UPI) -- Travis Outlaw's jump shot with 10 seconds remaining Wednesday lifted Portland to an 84-83 victory over Detroit.

The Pistons had a seven-game winning streak snapped in the second outing of a four-game road trip.

Kwame Brown scored on a dunk with 1:24 to go to give the Pistons a three-point lead, but they did not score again.

Outlaw brought the Pistons within one on a jumper with 1:07 to play, after which Detroit suffered missed shots from both Tayshaun Prince and Iverson.

Rudy Fernandez grabbed the rebound for Portland after Iverson's miss, leading to Outlaw's game-winning shot. Iverson missed again with 2 seconds to play.

Portland, which had lost its previous two games, was led by 26 points from LaMarcus Aldridge. Outlaw had 14.

Prince paced the Pistons with 26.
