NBA: Minnesota 94, Memphis 87

MEMPHIS, Jan. 6 (UPI) -- Randy Foye hit a three-pointer and then got a block on the other end in the final 41 seconds Tuesday to help Minnesota beat Memphis 94-87.

Foye wound up with 23 points. Al Jefferson had 19 points, 12 rebounds and four blocks. Craig Smith and Ryan Gomes added 15 and 14 points, respectively, for Minnesota.

Minnesota, which had just four wins at Christmas, has won a season-best three straight and five of its last seven games after a 13-game losing streak.

Hakim Warrick led Memphis with 22 points and six rebounds. The Grizzlies lost for the fifth time in their last six games. O.J. Mayo added 20 points, eight rebounds and five assists.
