NHL: Chicago 4, Minnesota 1

ST. PAUL, Minn., Dec. 28 (UPI) -- Dustin Byfuglien scored twice Sunday, leading the Chicago Blackhawks to a franchise-record ninth consecutive win, a 4-1 decision over Minnesota.

Byfuglien knocked in a backhand shot and tipped in another goal. He also had two assists.

Martin Havlat and Kris Versteeg added goals for Chicago.

Blackhawks goalie Cristobal Huet made 18 saves.

Cal Clutterbuck scored and Niklas Backstrom blocked 28 shots for Minnesota, which has lost eight of 10 games.
