Flacco, Jenkins, Vinatieri take AFC honors

NEW YORK, Nov. 5 (UPI) -- Baltimore's Joe Flacco, the New York Jets' Kris Jenkins and Indianapolis kicker Adam Vinatieri were honored Wednesday as AFC players of the week.

Flacco, the young Ravens' quarterback, passed for 248 yards and two touchdowns in a 37-27 win over Cleveland and was named top offensive player.

Jenkins won for defensive play for a performance that included two sacks and three tackles in the Jets' 26-17 decision over Buffalo.

Vinatieri won for special teams. The veteran kicker booted a 52-yard field goal that provided the margin of victory in the Colts' 18-15 win over New England.
