NHL: Pittsburgh 6, St. Louis 3

ST. LOUIS, Nov. 2 (UPI) -- Evgeni Malkin scored the go-ahead goal on the power play Saturday night, helping the Pittsburgh Penguins top the St. Louis Blues 6-3.

The center scored his fourth goal this season at 12:22 of the second period to break a 2-2 tie. He also assisted on Jordan Staal's empty-netter with 20 seconds left in the third.

Four others also scored once, including right wing Miroslav Satan, who -- along with center Sidney Crosby -- had two assists.

Goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury surrendered three goals on 22 shots for the Penguins, who stopped their three-game losing streak after overcoming a 2-1 first period deficit.

Three St. Louis players scored once each.

Both David Perron and Paul Kariya had two assists, while netminder Chris Mason was beaten five times on 27 shots for the Blues, who have dropped four of five.

On the power play, Pittsburgh went 1-for-5 and St. Louis was 0-for-5.
