MLB: Philadelphia 5, Florida 2

MIAMI, Sept. 21 (UPI) -- Jamie Moyer gave up a run and six hits in six innings Sunday to lead Philadelphia to a 5-2 win over the Florida Marlins.

Moyer, 44, baseball's oldest active player, got his single-season career-high 15th victory and helped Philadelphia stretch its NL East lead to 1 1/2 games over the New York Mets, 8-7 losers to Atlanta.

Chase Utley and Pedro Feliz hit two-run homers in the third and eighth innings, respectively, and Jimmy Rollins added three hits and one RBI in the Phillies' eighth win in their last 10 games.

Closer Brad Lidge, the last of six pitchers, earned his 40th save.

Florida's Josh Willingham and Alfredo Amezaga had one RBI apiece.

John Baker had four hits and Willingham two for the Marlins, who fell to 7-1 in their last homestand this season.

The losing pitcher was starter Chris Volstad (5-4).
