NFL: Miami 14, New Orleans 10

NEW ORLEANS, Aug. 28 (UPI) -- Chad Henne's eight-yard pass to Sean Ryan with 44 seconds left in the first half ended the scoring Thursday and gave Miami a 14-10 win over New Orleans.

Neither team managed a point over the final two periods in a lackluster exhibition contest that included 14 punts.

After New Orleans took a 10-0 lead, Miami drove 75 yards in 10 plays and scored on a one-yard run by Ronnie Brown.

Ryan's touchdown catch finished off an eight-play, 16-yard march directed by Henne, a rookie who will likely back up Chad Pennington.

New Orleans (2-2) is scheduled to open its season at home against Tampa Bay, although growing hurricane concerns could put that game in jeopardy. Miami (3-1) will play host to the New York Jets to open the campaign.
