Katherine Hull claims her first LPGA title

OTTAWA, Aug. 17 (UPI) -- Katherine Hull shot a 3-under-par 69 Sunday for a one-shot victory in the Canadian Women's Open, her first LPGA title.

Hull finished at 11-under 277 to collect a winner's prize of $337,500.

"I'm shocked that it actually happened, but obviously this is a dream come true," Hull said. "I mean, it's just something that probably all of us out here just dream about as kids. To finally have it come to reality is just amazing."

Se Ri Pak closed with a 72 for a 278. Yani Tseng, the third-round leader, slipped to a 77 and finished third, another shot back.

World No. 1 Lorena Ochoa carded a 1-over 73 and shared fourth place at 7-under 281.

Annika Sorenstam, winner of 72 LPGA events, was in second place after the first round of the Canadian tournament but gradually fell back, ending up in a tie for 21st place. Sorenstam had a final-round 74 for an even-par 288.
