MLB: Oakland 2, Tampa Bay 1

OAKLAND, Calif., Aug. 13 (UPI) -- Bobby Crosby slammed a two-run home run and pitcher Gio Gonzalez notched his first major league win Tuesday in Oakland's 2-1 decision over Tampa Bay.

Gonzalez (1-1) pitched into the sixth inning, giving up a run and five hits with five strikeouts.

Akinori Iwamura's sacrifice fly scored Ben Zobrist with the Rays' run.

Scott Kazmir (8-6) allowed just two hits over five innings but took the loss. Kazmir allowed two runs and struck out six batters.
