CLEVELAND, July 10 (UPI) -- Ben Francisco hit one of Cleveland's four homers Thursday, drove in a career-best four runs and led the Indians to a 13-2 blasting of Tampa Bay.
The Indians had lost 10 consecutive games, but broke out of that slump with a 15-hit attack featuring the long ball.
David Dellucci and Francisco hit two-run homers during a five-run fifth, Shin-Soo Choo had a solo shot in the sixth and Casey Blake touched off a seven-run eighth with a solo homer.
Francisco added a two-run single in the eighth, during which the Indians sent 11 men to the plate.
Aaron Laffey (5-5) took advantage of the offense to get the win, allowing two runs on four hits over six innings. It was his first victory since June 12.
Andy Sonnanstine (10-4) was roughed up for six runs on nine hits in 5 1/3. He had not lost since May 27.
The 13 runs were the most Tampa Bay has allowed this season.
